    Born & raised in Hawaii and getting in the way of her Mom in the kitchen from an early age, Mikala was finally given the opportunity at 5 years of age to ‘stir the sauce’…it was from that moment that she knew it was her destiny to be slinging Spam to the masses of the DC area…a true tomboy at heart, when Mikala wasn’t stirring things, she was usually building forts and lighting things on fire around her neighborhood in Hawaii Kai. Her career in the kitchen took a back seat when she spent a number of years being a rock star and stage diving at every opportunity…she still has a secret stash of leather pants in her closet.

    After spending 4+ years hitting things in her food truck…and serving Spam Musubi to Andrew Zimmern (he hated it…no, seriously, he hated it…and we’ve seen that guy blend a frog up and drink it)..she’s decided to take a break from driving ‘Large Marge’ around and try something in four walls…

    Mikala has hung with Joey Fatone on the Food Network where she converted a can of Spaghetti-O’s into the winning dish of Rewrapped….her strengths include laughing at herself (and others), an extensive and obsessive knowledge about the 80’s, a kickass pinball player and all around pretty cool chick….
